From visiting furniture fairs to advertising and delivering furniture personally, Eide helped the company establish a strong foundation. His efforts paid off, and Scandinavian Designs became a significant player in furnishing mid-century modern homes on the West Coast during the 1960s and 1970s.

The brand's growth continued in the 1980s with the launch of Dania Furniture, a sister company that expanded the brand's reach to the Pacific Northwest and Chicago. Presently, Scandinavian Designs has expanded to a national brand with more than 40 showrooms across the United States.
